Please join us for "The ABC's of Behavior and Response".  This parent empowerment class will be held on Thursday, December 4th at 7:00 pm in the upper fellowship hall.  The class is free for Promises families and you are welcome to bring a friend.  We highly recommend the class and hope to see you there!

At 4:30pm, The Virginia Repertory Theatre will make a story come alive as the children delve into the world of one of their favorite books.  Teaching artists from Virginia Rep's Children's Theatre will guide us through a fun, interactive, multisensory journey. 

Thank you to the Promises Parent's Group for providing the teachers with the delicious dinner baskets!  

You all are fabulous and we appreciate all your support!! 

We had a beautiful day for the Ride-on Rodeo!  Thank you to everyone for donating one canned good for every lap you rode.  Our grocery cart is overflowing and the Food Pantry is very appreciative!

The Halloween fun has started at Promises!

Thanks to Kate Tsengas, our Science Experiment volunteer, for helping us make Gak today!

A big thank you to Fire Station #9 for visiting Promises Preschool today!  We learned about fire safety and had fun climbing into the fire truck.  Parents, don't forget to check the batteries in your smoke detectors.

It's time to make a pop tab delivery to the Ronald McDonald House.  Our container is over flowing!  Keep up the good work!

 

Preschool Pictures will be taken on Wednesday October 8th and Friday October 10th.  Remember to dress your child in comfortable clothes.  The photographer will be taking candid pictures of your child in their classroom and on the playground.

Please join us for "Kindergarten Readiness" tonight at 7:00pm in the upstairs fellowship hall.

We introduced Chapel today!  Some classes will visit Chapel each Tuesday and others will visit each Thursday.  Chapel is a special time to learn about how much God cares and loves us.  Be sure to ask your child about Max, the church mouse.

It was another great week at Promises Preschool!  

Don't forget to register for our first two after school enrichment programs.
Little Kicks will be held on Tuesdays beginning September 30th (3 year old and pre-kindergarten classes).
Ready, Set, Read will be held on Wednesdays beginning October 8th (pre-kindergarten classes).
Kim Gorenflo will be teaching the Ready, Set, Read program.  She is also one of the presenters at the "Kindergarten Readiness" parent seminar on Monday, September 28th at 7:00pm.

It's going to be a beautiful week for Brown Bag Lunches.  Please pack a picnic lunch and join the Promises Parents' Group on the playgrounds on Wednesday or Thursday at 12:00 noon.

Letters containing information about Parent Orientation, Open House and class assignments were mailed last Friday.  If you  have not received your letter, please contact the preschool office.  We look forward to seeing everyone next Thursday and Friday!

The 2014-2015 Back-to-School packets were mailed to registered students today.  The first day of preschool will be here before you know it!

Register today for Vacation Bible School July 14th-18th.  Join as we journey through the wilderness with the Isrealites and learn to trust God.

Be sure to ask your child about the snowball fight, ice skating and snow cones they enjoyed at the Arctic today.  It's been an awesome week at Discovery Camp!

Look for the shark tooth in your child's school bag today.  Ask your child about some of the interesting ways fish and other sea life protect themselves.  They learned quite a bit today at the ocean.

Ask your child to tell you 3 animals they found in the woodlands today at Discovery Camp.  Have fun finishing today's scavenger hunt at home!

We saw so many exciting animals in the jungle today!

We had lots of fun learning all about the desert today at Discovery Camp!
