Happy holidays and end of 2016!

In a spare moment, don't forget the wonderful after school enrichments Promises will have starting in January: Balls of Fun (with Mr. Will & Ms. Lori) and Pirates & Mermaids (through SPARC). You may sign up for the SPARC class now using the following link - Acting Up with SPARC!  .  For Balls of Fun you may register at Promises the first week of January.

Registration for 2017/2018 will begin on JAN 2 for current families & church families.  Be sure to take advantage of the "early registration discount".  Also remember to send friends our way who are looking for preschool. A referral will earn you a complimentary Lunch Bunch!

Below is the adorable photo from our Christmas program! May you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Here are a few pictures from the fall.  During this month of Thanksgiving, we count our Promises students as some of our most precious blessings! Parents, we are so grateful for the opportunity to teach and serve your children.

Thank you for your generous contributions to our food pantry this month. The classes enjoyed this outreach project and knowing that they were helping others. The staff and I wish you a very happy and safe Thanksgiving!

Promises Preschool students had a great first week!  How exciting it was to see a huge crane in operation! The students love seeing the big equipment and learning about how these things work!

Our Friday Discovery Class students got to do some building of their own!  There are still spots available in this special "mini-camp-like" class with Miss Susan & Miss Sandy!

International Night at Promises Preschool

Wonderful foods!  Beautiful outfits! Precious children!

"Thank you"parents & staff for supporting our first International Night. The fashion show, variety of
foods, crafts, games and book table were all a hit!  It was a very special evening of fellowship!

This week many of our classes have been reading Have You Filled a Bucket Today by Carol McCloud & David Messing.  Our friends in the Yellow Room extended the learning by making
Valentines to mail to each other in the big blue mailbox.  The children really enjoyed "filling up each other's buckets" with messages of friendship & love.

If you have never read this book along with your child, you would enjoy its wonderful lesson about encouragement!  We highly recommend it!

In media center this week, the children are enjoying books by Jan Brett, acclaimed author and illustrator of children's picture books for 30 years!  Perhaps you parents remember her beautiful artwork in The Mitten, The Hat or The Gingerbread Baby, a clever adaption of an old classic tale. We love our media center parent volunteers!  "Thank you" for sharing your love of literature with us!

In the Magical Forest, the children have been exploring the seasons and fun forest friends. They are so eager to take their turn with all the activities!

Perhaps the pretend snowfall, snowball fight and imaginary snow angels were a foreshadowing of our recent snowstorm.  We are so excited to offer this SPARC enrichment program!

Delightful giggles have been coming from Media Center this month as the children have enjoyed books by author, Mo Willems. Knuffle Bunny has been a favorite! "Thank you"to our media center volunteers who have come in to read these books to the children.
